PROPELLER PUMP - LM Salt Hybrid
We specialize in manufacturing corrosion-resistant pumps. And in adapting pumps to existing installations.
That is why we developed the LM PUMP HYBRID.
It is a corrosion-resistant pump capable of operating in saltwater—even aggressive water—much like our LM PUMP SALT.
The difference is that the hybrid pump features pump pipes made of corrosion-resistant HDPE, while the T-bend is made of steel treated with an ultra-strong, saltwater-resistant composite coating.
We have built hybrid pumps in several instances where they were the optimal solution.
For example, this has occurred when fish farms transitioned production from freshwater to saltwater, requiring new pumps to fit into the existing facility.
Our HDPE pumps have different dimensions than steel pumps. So, rather than having to modify the facility, we developed hybrid pumps that offer saltwater corrosion resistance while fitting into the original layout.
We also tend to choose LM Pump Hybrid in projects where large pumps of 600 mm or larger is needed.

If the pump is to function in fresh or only lightly salty water, it might be the best option to choose LM Fresh pumps
99% of a propeller pump from Lykkegaard can be reused or recycled. The pumps are constructed with as few parts as possible and in as clean materials as possible. So they can be disassembled and reused.
We offer to take back old or malfunctioning pumps and are responsible for taking them apart. We can often reuse part of the pump in new pumps - otherwise we make sure to sort it correctly for recycling.
